TETRA: Say no to an unsafe technologyfind out more information about TETRA

Letter to West Sussex Gazette

Sir

Neither the National Radiological Protection Board nor the Sussex Police Airwave Project Manager will say that TETRA is safe. Both are now individually on record saying that we (the unconsulted recipients) "must make our own minds up" whether it is safe.

What a strange state of affairs where the NRPB disowns Home Office statements of safety, Sussex Police disown the behaviour of O2 Airwave in erecting masts, O2 Airwave dismiss the ill health being experienced by Sussex residents as non-existent, and the residents of Sussex must make their own minds up as to whether this system is safe!

Meanwhile, in this grotesque experiment, O2 engineers turn their transmitters up and down and play directly with our health as if it were some kind of remote-control game. In Bognor this week the TETRA mast has been reduced in activity and the residents are emerging a little from their sleeplessness, headaches and from regular nosebleeds. Meanwhile in Woodside Road, Worthing the mast has been turned up, increasing the headaches, sleeplessness etc. I cannot believe this is the safe country I was born into, the same county I came to live in, or the apparently sane government I allowed in since 1997.

It is long past the time due for our public health leaders to undertake correlation studies between the ill health being so widely reported and the TETRA masts being erected, and to start to settle this madness once and for all. Can anyone explain why they cannot see what we can see happening all around us?

yours faithfully

Andy Davidson
