Some Useful Guidelines Please write politely, but say what you feel. Make sure what you say is informed and clear. Ask precise questions for which you can realistically expect an answer. If you don’t get an answer in a reasonable time, write again. Remember, if you want to feature your letters and replies on this site, it is polite (though not essential) to let your recipient know ‘this letter may be placed on the Internet as a matter of public record’. It may be worth reciting the ‘straplines’ of your favourite organisations.
