TETRA: Say no to an unsafe technologyfind out more information about TETRA

About this website

This website is maintained by TETRAWATCH, comprising concerned people in the UK who object to TETRA and the way it has been forced onto us and into our neighbourhoods.

We endeavour to present our protest in a factual and objective way. That does not mean we are not angry!

If you object to anything on this site, or find anything factually incorrect, tell us. We don’t want to be wrong, and we feel our protest to be fully justified, whether about the way TETRA was chosen and the way the contract was awarded, or about the doubts as to its effectiveness, or about the risks to health.

Use our comment page to get in touch.

‘I cannot help fearing that men may reach a point where they look on every new theory as a danger, every innovation as a toilsome trouble, every social advance as a first step toward revolution, and that they may absolutely refuse to move at all for fear of being carried off their feet. The prospect really does frighten me that they may finally become so engrossed in a cowardly love of immediate pleasures that their interest in their own future and in that of their descendants may vanish, and that they will prefer tamely to follow the course of their destiny rather than make a sudden energetic effort necessary to set things right.’

Alexis de Tocqueville (1805-1859), French social philosopher

Is this site just scaremongering? How many research papers on this site have to be proven to come to the wrong conclusions, in order for our concerns to be unfounded? This is a complex area, and the history of science has shown us time and again that experience and tradition are not always a sound basis for interpreting observations of new phenomena, materials, chemicals or technologies. Think laterally, stay curious, and survive.
