Visit to Scotland by Olle Johansson, Associate Professor, Experimental Dermatology Unit, Department of Neuroscience, Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden

Prof Johansson will be talking about the health effects on humans of electromagnetic fields and radiation from his 20 years of research, at the following events:

Tue 22 February, Turriff Academy, Aberdeenshire, public meeting about Tetra masts organised by the community council, 7.30pm

Weds 23 February, Holyrood, Edinburgh, briefing for MSPs on Tetra masts organised by Scottish Action on Tetra 1-2.30pm

Weds 23 February, Dewar Centre, Perth, public meeting on health effects of emf on humans, 7.30pm
This meeting is likely to interest both general public and medical professionals. Organised by Scottish Action on Tetra.

From the 1980s Prof. Johansson has been constantly productive and an advocate for electrosensitive people in Sweden and around the world. He has itten a number of important, original, scientific articles, as well as a great number of commentaries and contributions to the debate in newspapers. He has received a number of awards including the Nokia Monitor Award, the Environmental/Medicin Award from the Swedish Cancer and Allergy Foundation, and the SIF-Award (The Swedish Clerical and Technical Employees Union).

Altogether, his publications within the field of neuroscience number more than 450 original papers, review articles, and conference summaries, and he has been a co-author of papers in high-impact journals, such as Nature and Science. His skill as a lecturer is well documented and his overall knowledge in the areas of the neurosciences, health effects of electromagnetic fields, and in experimental dermatology is esteemed at the highest level.
